Amel Super Maramu 2000 – 1999

Built in 1999 and equipped with a 105 hp engine, this Super Maramu 2000 combines proven reliability with timeless design. Acquired in 2020, she has carried her owners on extensive voyages. After several Mediterranean seasons in Greece, Italy, Sardinia, and Spain, she crossed the Atlantic in 2023 to the Caribbean, then transited the Panama Canal in early 2024 before continuing across the Pacific to French Polynesia.

A full refit in 2022 and continuous maintenance have kept all systems in excellent working order. The boat has demonstrated her strength and comfort on every passage.

Layout and comfort
The ketch Why Knot offers spacious cabins, a practical galley, and a comfortable saloon finished with high-quality woodwork. Her uncluttered deck, rigid handrails (a hallmark of Amel), and electric furling sails make for safe and easy handling. All navigation functions are centralized in the well-protected cockpit. Heating and air conditioning add to comfort onboard, making her suitable for all climates.
