Excess 13
Designed for sailing crafted for living
Let’s talk about your blue-water cruising project !
Catamaran Excess 13: innovative architecture for greater performance, sensations and pleasure on blue-water adventures
Excess represents a certain idea of sailing: exhilarating, free and daring. The Excess 13 takes this idea one step further. Designed by a passionate team, this catamaran is the fruit of a long process of reflection, based on the pleasure of sailing, the pleasure of living aboard, and the pleasure of enjoying the playground that extends around the boat.
With the Excess 13, the brand’s personality asserts itself even further. Reinforced by the ideas of its new team of architects, it unveils a modern, dynamic and efficient interior design, in keeping with its conquering exterior lines. The architecture was entrusted to Marc Lombard. For the interior design, Jean-Marc Piaton began with interviews to identify, understand and penetrate the spirit of the brand and give it substance.
“We listened to around thirty people talk to us about the brand: employees, owners, dealers, leasers… What emerged was a very positive and, above all, highly identified perception. This is both very rare for such a young brand, and very interesting when considering its design. Hervé Piveteau had high expectations of lightness, both real and perceived, and wanted this new model to fit in well with the existing models, without creating too strong a break. ”
Optimal comfort for living aboard and working from your boat
The hull dedicated to owners combines a spacious cabin with a large forward shower room and, rare on a boat of this size, a large dressing room. It also features an ergonomically designed office area with natural light. Complementary to the chart table, it offers a second workspace, allowing you to reconcile your professional life with your passion for the sea as never before. In the opposite hull, guests can enjoy two cabins and two private bathrooms.
The real prowess of this Excess 13 lies in the design of its structure and bulkheads, which offer a high level of habitability, with consequent living volumes, vast stowage space and considerable headroom, without compromising the boat’s performance.
Excess 13 : a catamaran for the water sports fans
Inspired by monohulls, access to the sea via skirts designed as up-and-over doors combines safety and efficiency. Impressive, innovative exterior storage space allows you to carry a wide range of equipment for all your adventures: diving and snorkeling for seabed enthusiasts; Wingfoil or kite surfing for surfing enthusiasts.
