Dufour 425 Grand Large – 2011
Great Dufour 425 Grand Large, only 2 owners, the last of whom fully prepared and equipped it for a navigation from Europe to French Polynesia. Arrived in Tahiti a few years ago, the boat was imported, meticulously maintained and is now looking for its future owners to take over, turnkey.
The Dufour 425 Grand Large is a live-aboard cruising monohull, built by the Dufour Yachts shipyard in France. This L-shaped bulb keel sailboat, rigged as a fractional Sloop, designed by naval architect Umberto Felci & Patrick Roseo, is 12.5 m long with a maximum draft of 2.10 m. Production started in 2006. 267 examples of the boat were produced. Ounté Vas 2 left the factory in 2011, and is one of the last hulls and benefits from the feedback from the first units.
Among the rigorous maintenance and recent improvements, we can note:
- Last Antifouling in March 2024 in Apataki
- D2-55 engine at 2000h, up-to-date maintenance and many spares (starter, alternators, etc.)
- Standing rigging inspected on multiple occasions, turnbuckles changed in 2021-2022
- Running rigging replaced in the last 3 years
- Complete set of sails (Mainsail, Genoa, Code D, Staysail) purchased new between 2018 and 2021 and continuously maintained by professionals.
- Ais, Iridium Go, Starlink recently installed
- New service battery bank from June 2024
- Solar panels, wind turbine, converter from 2021
- Upholstery and Bimini (Dec 2022) in great condition.
- New HB engine from 2024
