140 years of Bénéteau: an evening with private visits and lectures at the Tahiti and the Islands Museum!

To celebrate the 140th anniversary of Bénéteau, we organized a special evening at the Musée de Tahiti et des Îles (Museum of Tahiti and the Islands), featuring a discovery of the Museum’s collections and lectures retracing the history of the Bénéteau shipyard and the art of navigation by the stars, which enabled Polynesians to criss-cross the vastness of the Pacific on pirogues that foreshadowed today’s catamarans and trimarans.

It was an opportunity to discuss the links that unite the fantastic maritime epic of the Polynesian people and the development of modern yachting embodied by the Bénéteau Group, a French family business that over the decades has become the world’s largest leisure boat builder.

A look back at an exceptional evening!
